Xiao Hei, Devid stepped into a tze char kitchen at just 12 years old, learning the craft from ground up.
From his early days in Ipoh to Singapore’s fast-paced kitchens, his journey was built on grit, discipline, and perseverance.
Years spent before roaring flames shaped not only his speed and precision, but a deep respect for the heart of tze char.
To Devid, tze char is more than food, it is memory, family, and culture brought together at the table.
Today, he carries that same dedication into every dish, keeping tradition alive while nurturing it for the next generation.

小黑 12 岁便踏入煮炒厨房,从最基层开始学习这门手艺。
从怡保到新加坡高强度的厨房环境,他的成长历程源于坚持、
纪律与不懈 努力。
多年站在烈火前,不只锻炼了他的速度与精准,
更培养了他对煮炒精神的敬重。
对他而言,煮炒不仅是食物,更是回忆、
家庭与文化在餐桌上的相聚。
